People love Santa Barbara, and so do dogs. With acres of public parks and beaches, it's one of the most pup-friendly cities in California. Here are the best neighborhoods in SB for you and your furry friends.

Hidden Valley
With wide streets and windy networks of sidewalks, Hidden Valley is a dreamy place to walk your dogs. Sitting between Hope Ranch to the North and Bel Air and Eling's Park to the South, it's a quiet pocket with minimal traffic and large, mature trees that cast ample shade onto the streets and sidewalks.

Hidden Valley is also a short 2-mile trek from Hendry's Beach, perhaps the best dog beach in the city. At Hendry's Beach, also called Arroyo Burro Beach, your dogs can run free off-leash and enjoy a nice scrub down in the self-service dog washing station after rolling around in the sand.

More Mesa
One of our absolute favorite places in town, More Mesa delivers all the dog-friendly goods, including quiet streets, a beach and bike path, and a bluff overlooking the ocean. Our team has been grateful to work on many deals in More Mesa and see all the hidden gems it has to offer. In More Mesa, you'll enjoy access to the Obern Trail, a 21-mile bike path loop that runs to Goleta. The More Mesa Bluff is another idyllic location to take your dogs, with over 200 acres of open space to roam and plenty of trails to explore. It's a lush natural patch that's great for a long walk in the morning, at sunset, or any time of the day.

The Mesa
We talk about the Mesa a lot because it offers a lot. Sometimes feeling like its own micro-community, the Mesa is equipped with big suburban streets and as much beach and park access as your puppy's heart desires. Shoreline park is a glorious stretch 2-mile stretch of green grass that hugs the bluffs above the ocean and provides the perfect place for a nice, long walk. With access to Mesa Lane and Leadbetter Beach and in close proximity to Hendry's Beach, the Mesa has ample options to get to the water and tire your pup out playing in the sand.
