Beach life meets country cowboy sprinkled with a little luxury. Hope Ranch provides you with large lots, privacy and community amenities like a private beach where you can get to know your neighbor.
Homes for Sale in Hope Ranch – Overview
Much has changed since Thomas Hope bought the land in 1861 and named it Hope Ranch. Homeowners owe much to Harold Chase who purchased the property in 1923 and began developing it into the residential area we know today.
While many of the approximately 700 homes were built between 1940 and 1969, there is a smattering of newer homes nestled in the rolling hills.
When driving through the neighborhood one’s senses are held by the grandeur of old oak groves, sprawling estates, and luxurious landscaping. It is no wonder Hope Ranch is on many retirees’ short lists when considering a move to the Santa Barbara area.
The neighborhood association provides unusual amenities, including a private beach, community tennis courts, and security patrol. In addition, there are several more features, including the Riding & Trails Association, 30 miles of equestrian trails, and the exclusive La Cumbre Country Club.
